Cultural Worldview
The modern age wants a Jesus who never corrects, never convicts, and never condemns. A Jesus who agrees with every lifestyle, affirms every desire, and blesses rebellion in the name of love. This counterfeit Christ comforts sin instead of calling for repentance.
When truth exposes what culture celebrates, people say, “I don’t want your Jesus.”
What they really mean is, “I don’t want a Jesus who tells me no.”
📖 Biblical Worldview
The Jesus of Scripture doesn’t conform to our desires — He transforms them.
He is full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Grace welcomes the sinner; truth demands repentance.
Rejecting the Jesus of truth is rejecting the only Savior who can deliver from sin and death.
True love warns of danger.
True love endures a cross.
True love calls people out of darkness into light.
When Jesus is rejected, it’s not because He is unloving, it’s because He’s too holy for our comfort.
But only the Jesus of holiness can save the unholy.
Reflection Questions
- What version of Jesus does culture prefer, and why?
- Have you ever softened truth to make Jesus more “likable”?
- How can you show the world a Jesus who loves and convicts?
Guided Prayer
Lord Jesus, forgive me for the times I have made You more acceptable to others at the cost of truth. Help me stand boldly for who You are — not the world’s version of You, but the living Word who divides truth from error. Let my compassion be rooted in conviction, not compromise.
Closing Prayer
Father, give me courage to proclaim Christ as He is, not as people want Him to be. Let Your light burn so brightly in me that the darkness around me trembles.
