🌎 Cultural Worldview

Culture’s Jesus says: “Follow your heart.”
Scripture’s Jesus says: “Deny yourself.”
Culture’s Jesus blesses sin in the name of love.
Scripture’s Jesus died to destroy sin because of love.

The “Jesus of culture” exists to affirm feelings and protect personal autonomy.
He promises heaven without holiness and love without lordship.
But that Jesus doesn’t exist — he’s an idol with a smile.

📖 Biblical Worldview

The “Jesus of truth” speaks with fire in His eyes and mercy in His heart.
He is both the Lamb and the Lion; gentle with the repentant, but firm against rebellion.
He never compromises holiness to gain followers.

To love Jesus is to obey Him (John 14:15).
To know Him is to walk in His truth, not reshape Him to fit ours.
The real Jesus doesn’t conform to culture — He confronts it, because He came to redeem it.

Reflection Questions

  • –  How has the world redefined Jesus to fit its comfort?
  • –  What happens when we preach love without holiness?
  • –  Do my words and life reveal the Jesus of truth or the Jesus of culture?

Guided Prayer

Jesus, You are truth embodied. Help me discern false images of You, those that please the world but grieve Your Spirit. Purify my heart to reflect both Your love and Your holiness. May I never trade Your truth for approval or applause.

Closing Prayer

Lord, let the real Christ be seen in me, the Christ who loves sinners but never leaves them in sin.
Let Your truth burn brighter than cultural deception, and let Your light in me make the darkness tremble.
