God Is Love, But He Is Also Holy.

His love doesn’t conform to culture. It transforms hearts.

Who Wrote the Bible? And Who Was Already in It?

From Misinformation to Revelation

A celebrity recently told her sister, “Why are you reading the Bible for guidance? There are other books out there. Didn’t you know racist white men wrote the Bible?”

Let’s be clear: this isn’t just ignorance—it’s influence. And when misinformation is spoken from a platform, it becomes a stumbling block for thousands. So, let’s confront it with truth.

Who Actually Wrote the Bible?

  • * Over 40 authors across three continents: Asia, Africa, and Europe.
  • * Languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek—not English.
  • * Ethnic diversity: Middle Eastern prophets, African rulers, Jewish scribes, and Roman citizens.
  • * Timeline: Spanning 1,500 years of divine inspiration.

“All Scripture is God-breathed…” — 2 Timothy 3:16

The Bible wasn’t written by “racist white men.” That’s not just historically false, it’s spiritually reckless.

Africa in the Bible: Before the Slave Trade

Long before the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, Africans were already part of God’s redemptive story.

1. Moses’ Cushite Wife
  • * Numbers 12:1 — Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses for marrying a Cushite (Ethiopian) woman.
  • * Cush = ancient African kingdom south of Egypt (modern-day Sudan/Ethiopia).
  • * God defended Moses and punished Miriam for her prejudice.
  • * Ancient Egypt was in Africa.
  • * Jeremiah 13:23 — “Can the Ethiopian change his skin…?” confirms dark skin as a known trait.
  • * Moses was raised in Pharaoh’s house—among dark-skinned Africans.
  • * 1 Kings 10:1–13 — She came from Sheba (likely Ethiopia or Yemen) to seek Solomon’s wisdom.
  • * She praised the God of Israel and took His wisdom back to her people.
  • * Jesus referenced her in Matthew 12:42 as a model of spiritual hunger.
  • * Acts 8:27–39 — A high-ranking official from Ethiopia traveled to Jerusalem to worship.
  • * He was reading Isaiah—the Hebrew Scriptures—when Philip explained the gospel.
  • * He was baptized and returned to Africa as a believer.
  • * Jeremiah 38:7–13 — Ebed-Melech, a Cushite, rescued the prophet Jeremiah.
  • * Isaiah 18:1 — Ethiopia is described as a land whose people “stretch out their hands to God.”
  • * Psalm 68:31 — “Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.”

Africans didn’t just appear in the Bible, they worshiped the true God, defended His prophets, and carried His Word back to their nations.

Isaiah 45:14 — The Prophetic Bowing of Nations

“The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush, and those tall Sabeans—
they will come over to you and will be yours; they will trudge behind you,
coming over in chains. They will bow down before you and plead with you, saying,
‘Surely God is with you, and there is no other; there is no other god.’Isaiah 45:14

This is not oppression—it’s revelation.
African nations, known for their stature and strength, bowed in reverence to the God of Israel.
They didn’t just appear in the Bible—they recognized, worshiped, and carried the truth of the Living God.

Don’t let influence become infection.
Let truth speak louder than trend.
